Civic & government digital agency

Durable, accessible digital infrastructure for the public sector.

We build accessible websites and custom web applications for government, engineered from the first line of code to last beyond the administration that ordered them.

Most government digital services fail accessibility. We engineer the opposite.

Section 508 and WCAG conformance is not a checkbox we add at the end. It is how we build from the first commit: semantic structure, full keyboard operability, verified contrast, and forms that work for everyone who depends on them. The page you are reading is the proof.

AA+ Every project ships to WCAG 2.2 Level AA at minimum, reaching AAA where practical. We deliver a VPAT, not a promise.

Six practices, one standard

All services
01

Accessible websites

Public-facing sites built to WCAG 2.2 AA, on a CMS your team can run without a vendor on call.

02

Custom web applications

Permitting, portals, and service tools on Laravel and Vue, maintainable long after launch.

03

Audits & 508 remediation

Find what fails, fix it, and document conformance with a VPAT your procurement team can stand behind.

04

CMS platforms

WordPress and modern headless platforms, configured for editors and built to stay current.

05

Civic brand identity

Wordmarks, design systems, and plain-language standards for public bodies that need to look trustworthy.

06

Technology leadership & governance

Public infrastructure that still carries load, a century on

We are named for John A. Roebling, the engineer who invented wire rope and designed the suspension bridges that culminated in the Brooklyn Bridge, including two in Pittsburgh. His original factory complex was called, simply, the Works. We build the digital version: civic systems engineered with care, made to outlast the people who commissioned them.

What sets us apart from legacy contractors

A

Accessible by default

Conformance is engineered in from the first commit, not bolted on before launch. It is the easiest promise we make to keep.

B

Plain language

We write so a resident, a clerk, and a contracting officer can all understand the same page. It is a civic obligation, not a style choice.

C

Maintainable systems

Proven technology your team can run, document, and hand off. No disposable platforms, no lock-in by design.

D

User-centered

We design with the people who use the service, not for an imagined average. Research is part of the build, not a line item.

Technology leadership & governance

Need a steady hand on the technology, not just the build?

Fractional CTO leadership, IT and digital governance, procurement oversight, and technical due diligence, with the standards documented so your team can carry them on.
